Founded in 1940 by the Adrian Dominican Sisters, Barry University began as Barry College for Women with just fifty students. Over the years, Barry College evolved substantially and, in 1981, became Barry University. Today, it serves over 7,000 students from across the U.S. and around 80 other countries.
